- Presort Standard and Non-Profit – 200 pieces or minimum of 50 lbs
- Priority Mail – 200 pieces or minimum of 50 lbs
- Bound Printed Matter – 300 pieces (There is no weight minimum allowed.)
- A permit has to include the following information (see examples below):
- Class of mail
- US Postage and Paid
- Origin - town, state & permit number. Whatever city and state is on the permit is the city and state where the mailing must be delivered.
- In order for a company to open a company permit, the organization must have one or more permits at a different post office.
- For every mailing that utilizes a company permit, the return address of the company must be on the mail piece.

Non-Profit Requirements
· Before sending out a Non-Profit mailing, make sure the company whose name is the return address on the mail piece qualifies with the post office for Non-Profit Status.
· Even though an organization is Non-Profit does not automatically give them Non-Profit status with the post office.
· To process a mailing as Non-Profit, an organization can do one of the following:
o Apply for Non-Profit status with the post office that requires a special application from the post office. The application process can take up to a week for authorization.
If the organization already has a Non-Profit permit with a different post office and they wish to use Major Mail’s permit, the organization must apply for Additional Entry for Non-Profit Status (PS form 3623) with the Nashua post office.
